What happens to a nation when the guns fall silent? In the aftermath of war, scars run deep. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, a lost generation has grown up paying the price for a conflict that ended 18 years ago. Thousands of children have grown up in orphanages, their parents either dead or traumatized by rape camps. Others are suffering at the hands of fathers and mothers in the grip of post-traumatic stress disorder. This film is the heroic story of Bosnia’s youth, left to find a way through the rubble, and having inherited the psychological scars of their broken country. Using animation alongside traditional documentary filming, it follows the stories of three young people on the cusp of adulthood - and unravels the ongoing consequences of war for the next generation.
